Rebecca Ortiz is a Research Analyst at the Center on Poverty and Social Policy. Her work spans evaluating the effectiveness of existing safety net programs and projecting the poverty impact of future policy changes using Census data and microsimulation models. Prior to joining the center, she was a Policy Research Assistant at the Center for an Urban Future. Ortiz graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics where she was a part of the University Honors College and McNair Scholars program.
