The Center on Poverty and Social Policy at the Columbia University School of Social Work focuses on poverty and social policy issues in New York City and the United States more broadly. The Center produces actionable research to advance our understanding of poverty and the role of social policy in reducing poverty and promoting economic security, opportunity, and well-being in New York City and the United States.
We are seeking a talented Research Director to join our leadership team to develop the Center's research agenda, manage a portfolio spanning national, state, and local policy issues, and lead the research team.
Key Qualifications
The Research Director will bring strong quantitative research experience, organizational strategy and management skills, and a deep understanding of the policy landscape to help elevate the Center’s research and ensure it is timely, impactful, and relevant to policymakers and the broader policy community.
Ph.D. in public policy, social sciences, or a related field, with a minimum of six years of experience conducting research in the social sciences or a related field strongly preferred.
Salary range is $110,000 - $130,000.
