This symposium explored child health and development and poverty—the intersections, challenges, and policy recommendations. The program featured a keynote conversation with New York State Health Commissioner James McDonald and two panels of discussion: one on the impacts of poverty and child health and well-being, and the other on child health and child poverty policy solutions in New York State.

The event was hosted by Schuyler Center for Analysis and Advocacy with the Center on Poverty and Social Policy at Columbia University and the Columbia Population Research Center.
