The first checks for the expanded Child Tax Credit, which arrived in July 2021, reduced the monthly child poverty rate by 26% and significantly impacted the hunger landscape in the United States. After six payments, the expanded Child Tax Credit expired in December 2021. What have we learned from this period, where are we now and what is the path forward?
