In this webinar hosted on June 23, 2021, by the Institute for Research on Poverty, Elaine Maag from the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center, Sarah Halpern-Meekin from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and Megan Curran from CPSP examined the expanded Child Tax Credit and related components of the American Rescue Plan, discussed projections for the policy’s potential impact on poverty, and looked at the challenges of delivering the credit to families who need it the most.
