The Center on Poverty and Social Policy at the Columbia School of Social Work held its fifth annual New Frontiers in Poverty Research conference. Experts examined some of the boldest presidential policy proposals and discussed how to reach the bold goal of cutting child poverty in half in 10 years.


The annual New Frontiers in Poverty Research Conference features the latest research on poverty and social policy in New York City and nationwide. Highlights of the 2019 event include:
